In late 2025, a homeowner in Mishawaka, Indiana asked B&E Home Renovations for a full remodel of their master bathroom. We replaced the shower, floors and fixtures, found and repaired water damage hidden under the old shower, and finished the job in 5 days.

What the homeowner wanted
The goal was a complete update, not a patch. The homeowner wanted a new shower, new flooring and new fixtures throughout the room.
What we did
- Built a custom shower pan
- Installed custom glass shower doors
- Built a custom shower niche for storage
- Tiled the shower walls in dark gray subway tile with white grout
- Installed porcelain tile floors
- Replaced the vanity
- Replaced the toilet
- Replaced the vanity light
- Replaced the ceiling vent
The problem we found under the old shower
Once the old shower came out, we found that water had been leaking from it. The leak had damaged both the subfloor and the drywall. Tiling over damaged materials would only hide the problem, so we replaced the subfloor and the damaged drywall and finished the new drywall.
Leaks like this are easy to miss. A shower can look fine from the outside while water slowly works into the floor and walls behind it. If your shower has loose tiles, soft spots in the floor or staining on a nearby ceiling, have it checked before planning finishes.
The finished bathroom
The new shower pairs dark gray subway tile and crisp white grout with custom glass doors and a built in niche. Porcelain tile floors sit on a new, solid subfloor. The new vanity, toilet, light and ceiling vent complete the room.
